FEMAGRI is Cooxupé’s Fair of Agricultural Machines, Implements and Inputs. After two fully online editions, the fair returns in presential model. The great novelty for 2023 is the seal Evento Neutro (Neutral Event). By these means, the fair will strengthen environmental practices by the compensation of carbon emissions.

The development of the certification has been performed by Eccaplan Consultoria, based on the projection of emissions during the three days of fair.

FEMAGRI will compensate carbon emissions

Companies, industries and different activities issue greenhouse gases that aggravate climate changes.

And, during FEMAGRI, all actions are going to be measured and calculated.

Thus, the compensation will be made by the program “Terrus Carbon Coffee”, conducted with coffee farmers, including Cooxupé’s members.

Coffee farming-driven solutions

The program “Terrus Carbon Coffee” is Brazil’s first Project for regenerative agricultural practices. It is audited with Carbon Fair Standard.

The action is based on technology developed by the tech company Quanticum, that makes use of soil magnetism to create management zones.

It means, creating areas with similar characteristics.  And, based on it, a map is elaborated, which helps in decision making for sampling in certain areas for studies.

According to de developer, such resource enables precise recommendation of ag inputs and varieties for the area, elevating the potential for storage of carbon in the soil.

FEMAGRI 2023 will be held on February 08, 09 and 10, at Guaxupé MG – Brazil.
